Day 43...

Doesn't Mike look like he belongs in Boston with that hat? Neet to see the real Cheers building.

We took a duck tour around the city. Our tour guide was really great!

Mmmm! We went to the Northend for dinner tonight. It is the really Italian part of town. Prezza was very dark and cozy. I had Sweet Corn Raviolini with rock shrimp, pancetta, toasted corn, white wine and parmigiano cheese and Mike had the Lobster Fra Diavlo- Saffron Tagliatelle with roasted tomato, fennel and lobster meat. Sooo good!

Day 42...

We got to Boston this morning and were able to meet up with a friend we both used to work with in San Diego, Bobby, to wath the US vs. England soccer game.

Right after the soccer game, we headed across the street to the Red Sox game.

A few of our friends back in SD got together to put this message on the Jumbo Tron while we were at the Sox game. How cool is that?!

Day 41...

I got to see Patricia today. She colored my hair for 2 1/2 years while I was going between Vegas and New York and of course while I was living there. She does the best job ever! If you are ever out there she works at the Mark Garrison salon. Look how blonde! We went to a Yankee game after:)

Third "celeb" sighting of the trip...High Pitch Eric from the Howard Stern show. I don't think I mentioned our first celeb sighting, but we saw Brook Hogan in a shop in South Beach.

Day 40...

We saw the Padres beat the Mets today!

When we got to our seats we noticed a couple of other Pads fans sitting 5 rows ahead of us. Turns out it was one of Mike'e high school buddies, Ryan and his wife Brittney. What a small world.

That night we met up with Ryan and Brit and also another couple of their HS friends who live in New York now. We had really good pizza then went to a speakeasy called Little Branch . So fun!

Day 39...

It poured rain the entire day! It really put a huge kink in our sightseeing. We went to ground zero and went to take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty but we had to admire it from afar since by then we were so wet and kind of over it. We ended up just going to see a movie (and a Diane von Furstenburg sample sale where I didn't find anything I loved :(bummer ) and then met up with my friend Brendan that night. Mike took this picture. He didn't realize that if you put your finger over the flash, the picture comes out dark.

Day 38...

Took the train to New York today. We rented an apartment off homeaway.com which was really central to everything. Our first day we walked through Time Square, went to the top of the Empire State builing and watched a bunch of sports that night. Mike has been in sports heaven with hocky playoffs, basketball playoffs, World Cup and baseball.

Day 37...

OMG!!! We were taking a few pictures in a park when I spot Russell from "Survivor" sitting on a wall eating lunch. Of course I had to go over and say hello.

Yummy! We had a cheesesteaks at Jim's. We were told be locals its the place to go, but don't order wrong or they will yell at you! I wanted steak with cheese, onions and peppers, so what I said was "cheese wit." Huh?

We both ran to the top of the "Rocky steps." Mike didn't spill a single drop.

Phillies played our Padres tonight. Guess who won? US! Nobody really gave us a hard time though because we said we were on our honeymoon.

Day 36...

We got to Philly today and bought a ticket for the double decker bus that takes you all over the city and tells you a ton of history. It was so awesome to see the places where our government was formed.

Day 35...

While we were waiting for a cab to take us from our hotel to the train station, a town car pulled up and offered to take us to Balitomore for less than the train would cost. We felt so fancy.

We took a water taxi to a really cool old town called Fells Point. Cobblestone roads and lots of really cute shops. We had crabcakes at Todd Conners that were amazing!

Camden Yards for Orioles vs. Red Sox. The vibe in Baltimore was so great! Sox fans really travel well.

Day 34...

We had awesome weather today and were able to walk around our nation's capitol and soak in a ton of history. We saw a bunch of the memorials, the White House and the Smithsonian.

Strasburg, the rookie pitcher from San Diego was supposed to pitch tonight but his debut was postponed another 4 days.

Day 33...

We got to DC today. I was festively dressed in red, white and blue but we weren't able to do much because of the torrential downpour!

Day 32...

We went to Prime 112 for dinner. Yum! We sat at the bar as usual and instead of nuts or popcorn they had...BACON!

I'm almost embarrased to say that this bowl of lobster bisque cost $23 but it was seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. If I lived in South Beach, I would eat this every week.
