Professional teaser...

:)

We finally did it! It took A LOT of planning, but we had the most beautiful and fun wedding ever!

I have decided to catalog our first year together as man and wife with pictures from each day. I know they might not all be exciting, but I can't wait to see what kind of memories we have made by anniversary number 1.

Day 87...

Went to Costco today for carne asada. I have perfected my cooking method with this. You would think the grill was better but it turns out just 3 minutes on each side under the broiler works best for keeping the juices in. Our fave home cooked dinner! I would have taken a picture but I was too excited to eat and had already finished by the time I remembered the blog. So now you get to see our feet as we watch the Pads play the Dodgers.

Day 86...

Mike and I took our bikes over to Coronado today for a bike ride and lunch. We are so lucky to live here!

Day 85...

I spent the day up at my parents house. They are dog sitting for my Aunt and Uncle. This is Miss E. Isn't she is so cute!

My mom gave me a box filled with some of my childhood treasures. These are the things that won't be going to the Goodwill. I drew those pictures when I was 10. The trophies came after that. The blue doll was given to me by a neighbor when I was born. My mom said I have to keep it to show my children someday.

Day 84...

We had a charity fundraiser at work today put on by the SDPD and SDFD. It was for the fight against human trafficking in the US. P.I.M.P. stands for Prostitution of Innocent Minors for Pay.

Day 83...

We started the day with really good intentions...

and then I got to work and couldn't resist THIS for dinner. Boo. I have no self control.

Day 82...

I have finally written all of the Thank You notes for the wedding gifts. Whew! It only took 82 days. I made this huge mess while trying to get everything straight. Elci oversaw the project:)

Day 81...

We went for a bike ride today from our house in La Jolla to Pacific Beach. We were going to ride all the way to Ocean Beach but were worried we didn't have enough time so we picked up Mike's car from work and drove the rest of the way.

We had shrimp cocktail and mahi tacos for lunch at South Beach then walked through the farmers market there. I got a really delicious hunk of chocolate peanut butter fudge.

Day 80...

We went to a new tequila tasting tonight. They painted the whole staff to look like day of the dead. Really cool looking!

They gave away citrus squeezers too.

Day 79...

I worked today and look who came to visit me and have lunch! What a good husband:)

Day 78...

I watched an entire "Law and Order" and "Criminal Minds" marathon today with Elci. It was the most relaxing day ever!

Day 77...

I had the night off so my friend Will and I went out on the town for a little bit. We went to my work of all places and then to his other job in PB. We are such creatures of habit.

Day 76...

So I just got my wedding pics back. Here are just a few...I love our photographer Kristie. Her website is http://www.photographybykristie.com/

Day 75...

Date night at work for Liza and I.

Day 74...

We went to the bank this morning to see about getting pre qualified to buy a house! I love this whole building a life together thing! We went to Seaport Village for a walk after that and enjoyed the beautiful SD weather.

Day 73...

I picked up Elci today from Granny's and we went to the beach. She loved getting her paws wet and then soaking up the sun.

Day 72...

Ahhhh. Exactly what I felt like doing today. That and some laundry.

Day 71...

Instead of the captain shirt this is what we came up with. Yuppie boat couple.

The boat took us around the bay and under the Coronado Bay Bridge. So pretty!

We had so much fun and the weather was awesome!

Day 70...

It's a miracle! Mike and I were both cut early from jobs #1 so we met at home for a much needed nap before sharing a ride downtown for jobs #2.

Day 69...

Chemo day for mom. She had a pick line put into her arm so they don't have to find a vein every time she goes in. Now they can just plug her in which is much easier for her. I spent half the time with her today and it was really nice to talk. I was also able to get a bunch of wedding thank you notes written.

Day 68...

We are going to a birthday party on a boat this Sunday and decided to dress the part. I think Mike would look great in the white captain's shirt...

Day 67...

I ran about a million errands today and officially became a Garcia on all cards, checks and bills. I also made a pit stop at the tire shop to have a nail hole patched up then rewarded myself for a productive day with a pedicure. While I was in the chair there was a 5.4 earthquake. Exciting!

Day 66...

I started the day with a great lunch with Liza at Cheesecake Factory then finished the day with all you can eat crab at Fleetwood for my stepdad, Tim's, birthday. We each had 1 1/2 plates and could have gone for more but Mike and both of our moms were finished eating and ready to go. Bummer! Tim and I will go on our own sometime soon to finish what we started.

Day 65...

I worked all day then went to Granny's house to get Elci but the girls were having way to much fun with her. Needless to say, she is staying there another week. She is going to be exhausted when she comes home. Also, look what i got in the mail today! Notice the last name.

Day 64...

It's the 4th of July!! I hung out with Cindy today. We started by going to see Mike at work then went to my girlfriend Heather's house for an awesome BBQ.

Heather lives on a mountain, so we walked to Kate Sessions Park for the firework shows all over San Diego. My camera has a "fireworks" button to get a more clear shot but this is what I ended up with. Still kinda pretty.

Day 63...

Lame I know...no picture. As on most Saturdays, Mike and I both worked a double. We were both pretty busy with World Cup games again. He did pop in to see me on job #2 though for a quick smooch;)

Day 62...

Mike's nieces, Hannah and Caitlin, are visiting granny for the next week so I dropped Elci off for some Granny time too. The girls love playing with the puggle.

Day 61...

Today was a pretty lazy day until I had to go to work. Even Elci was lazy...on MY pillow. So cute though.

Day 60...

I love when we get free tickets to Pads games! Especially when they are 5 rows behind the dugout and we win 13 to 3!

Day 59...

I got Elci shaved today. You can't really tell in this picture but she is now white with a big brown stripe down her back. Really cute!

I cooked dinner for my husband like the good Holly Homemaker I am:)

It was just as delicious as it looks.

Day 58...

I went up to see my mom today. She baked a pink cake with pink frosting for me. My fave! I spent some time in the yard picking plums and apricots then moved over to the garden for fresh carrots, peppers, cucumber and onion.

Day 57...

Iworked this morning for Mexico vs. Argentina and was so exhausted from the weekend I took a really long nap. When Mike got home we caught up on Netflix. It was just what I needed.

Day 56...

USA played Ghana in the World Cup today. Unfortunately we didn't win but we had a great time working it!

Day 55...

This was the day I decided it was time to update my blog. Look at all of the days that still need to be recorded.

Day 54...

Mike took me shopping today for my special 30th b-day present. I got this cute little YSL bag. Yay! I have the best husband ever!

Day 53...

I'M 30!!! We went to the fair for my birthday just like i have done at least 20 other times in my life.

This guy is a one man band. He has some crazy good

skill!

Now I will take you through a collage of all the food we ate. Minus the mini cinnamon doughnuts because we scarfed those down before I remembered to take a picture. This is an Italian sausage with peppers and onions and 3 mini carne asada tacos.

Mondo chocolate dipped pickle...

frozen chocolate covered bacon...

grilled corn on the cob...

and finally, a frozen chocolate dipped banana with nuts! I'm stuffed!

We finished the day by going to a charity event for Doctors Without Borders.
